The Ministry of Health has announced recommendations for the high-risk spring COVID-19 vaccine program.

One additional dose is recommended for high-risk eligible populations. This includes:

​

- Adults 65+ (NOTE: NACI recommends that those 80+ should receive one additional dose of vaccine while those 65 to 79 years of age may receive an additional dose of vaccine

- Adult residents of long term care homes or other congregate living settings

- Individuals age 6 months and older who are moderately to severely immunocompromised

- Indigenous individuals age 55+ and their non-Indigenous household members age 55+
